Digital Europe: funds deployment of OT security solutions in real infrastructure. 50-75% funded. Calls specifically target NIS2 compliance for essential services including energy and transport operators.
Horizon Europe Cluster 3: funds R&D in critical infrastructure protection. If you're developing new approaches to SCADA security, protocol analysis, or OT threat detection, this is your programme.
ECCC: runs calls for SME security tooling including industrial cybersecurity. Smaller grants (€200K to €1M) but focused and less competitive.
The NIS2 tailwind
NIS2 forces thousands of OT operators to upgrade their security. Most don't have the tools or expertise. They need your product. The EU funds you to build it (grants) and funds them to buy it (procurement budgets). Both sides of the market are being created simultaneously.
